That's because Trump was not the President then. At the beginning of COVID, Democrat leaders and their Fauci stooge were playing down the threat. Once they realized that they could use the virus to enact unconstitutional authoritarian 'rules' and that they could hurt Trump with it at the same time, only then did they all unanimously jump on the COVID CRAZE.
If Hillary or any Democrat had been President during the COVID insanity, none of the lockdowns, shutdowns, and masks would have happened. Or at least, the duration of all the nonsense would have been much shorter. It was all about the election and crashing Trump's booming economy.
Fauci, WHO, and CDC, put out contradictory directives and change their minds almost everyday/every-week. It was always much more of a political push than it was anything about 'health' or as they said 'public safety'. And the fact that Fauci and almost all Democrat Politicians made multimillions by investing in pharmaceuticals was just a bonus on top of destroying Trump and the American economy.
If Fascist Democrat Politicians believed they could get away with it without inciting a full blown 'revolt', they would COVID going on forever. Democrats LOVED COVID! It was their baby and they did not want to let it go, ever.
I believe COVID provided the excuse to destroy Trump. People were going to die and it was all his fault - period. No matter what he did, he lost. Even Bill Mahr was hoping for economic destruction to get rid of Trump.
So once they went all in to destroy Trump there was no going back. It would expose the extreme lies they told - and even deaths they caused - to get the result they wanted.
For the left, the ends justify the means.
And now we're all living the consequences.
