   I would settle for a Wolf right now.  Even my bleep cat is falling in Love with me, strange indeed.  I've been Dogless for 15 months.  I think that's the longest since I was 5yo or in USAF in 70~74.

   *I have no back fence right now with the Brooklynite building his house in the back.
Many moons ago I had a 5/8 Wolf-shephard cross. She was hands down one of the very best dogs I ever had. Smart, regarded me as the pack Alpha, protective of family and gentle too. She was vocal, as well, only matched in that department by my late Lab/Husky cross, who was another of the all-time great canines in my life. So much so, that when I had to put him down, my last words to him were "Look for Katie, I think you two will get along well". I miss both of them terribly, but we have two dogs at the house now, and I am not yet looking for another.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Well aside from some of my teachers being Mrs. somebody I didn't know squat about my teachers personal life, because it was their personal life and back then it was considered private....by everyone!

@Slide Rule

Is that photo real?

If it is,what nation was it taken in?

Yeah,I know it was probably in some poverty-stricken 3rd world nation where that sort of thing is legal,but I would like to know for sure. There is no way he or anyone else can claim "I thought she was over 18!"

@Slide Rule

Not really,but then again I have never seen him on stage with a little black girl. They are always as white as he is.

Kinda wonder why the Tan Klan isn't screaming about racial discrimination because he isn't molesting little black girls,doesn't it?

Caption says photo was taken on Epstein's island, don't know if it's real but sadly I believe it is.

@corbe
So go to an animal shelter and take home an abandoned dog. No fence in your back yard? No problem,adopt an older and smaller house dog. The shelters are full of them due to their owners dying. You will make that little dog happy to be a part of a family again,and in turn he will make you happy you have another dog.

P.S. In the spirit of openness,I don't have a dog,either. Losing my dobie caused me to never be willing to go through that again,and the flip side is due to my age and health,it would not be fair to adopt a dog and have him or her think they have a lifelong home,and then die and they have to go back to living in a cage in a shelter,and hoping someone rescues them.

I do have cats,though. Cats make really good pets,but it doesn't hurt so much when one dies.

Exactly. Then, when I was in the fifth grade (64-5), my teacher wanted a map of my home as an assignment (not just me, everyone). I drew her a real nice map, and for all I know, that structure may exist somewhere, but it wasn't the house I lived in.

@GtHawk

Child abuse,especially sexual child abuse is the number one thing that sets off bells ringing in my head. It is tied for number 1 with pet abuse in my list of Major No-Nos.

Anyone I catch in the act of doing either is likely to not be happy with me for the short time he has left to think about anything.

Yep. I may be old, but I can still swing for the nosebleed seats.
