You asked. I provided. You didn't watch it. You're welcome my friend.
Well, I didn't watch it, frankly, because I have seen all this before, in the 60s.
Find catchy 'cause' phrase, (now add video that shows some of what went on).
Turn one person or at most a handful into poster children, using whatever fictions about their background necessary to make them into saints. Protest, claiming to do so peacefully. Riots and looting ensue, often far from the original incident, and often resulting in the destruction of neighborhoodss, businesses, homes, and loss of lives of people who had nothing to do with any of the problem. All in the name of "justice".
Did someone jump the gun on the curfew? Ok, oops. Did some people suffer a little from tear gas, get welts from a rubber bullet? Oops.
I really have a declining amount of sympathy for people whose only real reason to be there isn't to protest the death of a man in custody (What's left to protest? The officers have been charged, even. Point made, go home.)
Or maybe people could hang around with the threat of storming fences and burning buildings and stuff, just to make sure there is another incident they cn protest about, maybe somewhere the stores haven't been cleaned out and/or burned yet.
My little town didn't interfere with the right to peacefully protest. Not just once, but twice, our town didn't interfere. Some folks in our town sent a clear message that the protest was damned sure going to remain peaceful, too. THat message in the form of about 20 cops and roughly 100 locals )bikers), often with conspicuous arms (just exercising their second amendment rights along with their first amendment rights) who did not interfere with the peaceful gathering across the street. Unless, that is, there was more intended than a peaceful gathering.
And I'm frankly getting tired of the (years of) tedious racism whining.
I'm no racist. I have worked alongside and been friends with black people and other 'people of color' all my life. But keep calling me one, I just might consider it.
