"One of Germany’s best known and respected think tanks has found the five billion euro cost of closing Europe’s borders is just a “fraction” of the cost associated with leaving them open and experiencing continued mass migration."Of course they are.
Who needs a "think tank" to come up with the correct answer?
One pays for "a wall" or border barrier "up front".
Costs a lot to build, of course.
There are maintenance costs later, and the costs of patrolling it.
But once completed, it's pretty much a "passive object".
A passive BIG object.
A BARRIER, against which very few can effectively surmount.
That's why both the left and the Chamber of Commerce Republicans are so opposed to the very notion of a border barrier.
Because, quite simply, it will work better than any other solution.
Of all issues in this election, this is "the winner" for me.
I was pushing the idea of a barrier between the United States and Mexico in the early 1990's, before even Pat Buchanan was for it.
Walls work.
As will one on our Southern border.
Um.... what was the line from that movie?
"If you build it, they will come."
But with the border wall, that will change to:
"If you build it, they won't be able to come..."
Works for me.
