A Vanderbilt grad student was stabbed to death in Jaffa by a Palestinian Arab terrorist on Tuesday.

Taylor Force, a 29 year-old graduate student at Vanderbilt University, was stabbed to death by a Palestinian Arab during a terrorist attack on Tuesday, March 8 in Jaffa, Israel.

Force was a U.S. Army vet who had deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. This former Eagle Scout and combat vet was murdered by a terrorist thug on the boardwalk in Jaffa.

Force was in Israel on a school trip, with other Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management students, faculty and staff.

Ten others were wounded in the same attack, including Force’s wife who is listed in critical condition.

Vanderbilt’s Chancellor, Nocholas S. Zeppos, released a statement about the tragedy on Tuesday. He wrote:

Taylor embarked on this trip to expand his understanding of global entrepreneurship and also to share his insights and knowledge with start-ups in Israel. He exemplified the spirit of discovery, learning and service that is the hallmark of our wonderful Owen community. This horrific act of violence has robbed our Vanderbilt family of a young hopeful life and all of the bright promise that he held for bettering our greater world.

Before entering graduate school, Force served in the U.S. Army as a field artillery officer. His deployments included Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn (Iraq), and Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). He received a B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He was also an Eagle Scout.

Force died at the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon. He was from Lubbock, Texas.

A witness to the stabbings told Israel’s Channel 2 that he heard screams and saw the Arab man running towards him with a knife. The man took his guitar and bashed the terrorist over the head. The terrorist withdrew, but then went on to stab several more people before he was shot and killed.

More:  State Dept. condemned three terrorist attacks Tuesday, but never mentioned they happened in Israel or that Arabs were the perpetrators.

The statement mentioned the American, Taylor Force, by name. Kirby named all three Israeli cities in which the terrorist attacks occurred, but neither mentioned that all three took place in Israel, nor that Palestinian Arabs were the perpetrators of each of the attacks.

Curiously, but not surprisingly, The Jewish Press’ Lori Lowenthal Marcus never mentions the word MUSLIM even while attempting to bash the cowardly U.S. State Dept.!  Why not? Probably for the same cowardly reasons the State Dept. didn’t.

The university’s statement also noted:

All other Vanderbilt students, faculty and staff on the trip are safe.

More:  American student killed in 1 of 3 terror attacks in Israel during Biden visit

Palestinian attackers shot and stabbed a dozen policemen and civilians in separate assaults around Israel, continuing near-daily incidents that began in October and have left more than 200 Israelis and Palestinians dead. Two Israeli police officers and 10 civilians were wounded in the attacks and three Palestinian attackers were killed.

As if to underscore the continuing problem of Palestinian violence, which has surged since the so-called “knife intifada” began in Jerusalem last fall, a Palestinian opened fire at police near Jerusalem’s Old City an hour before his plane touched down. One police officer was reportedly shot in the head in the attack, and another hurt as the assailant was chased down and kileld.

Then, after Biden arrived in Tel Aviv, 10 Israelis were stabbed in the city’s Jaffa port section, Reuters reported. A BBC reporter tweeted that Biden was a few hundred meters from the attack.

The wife of the American student who died in the attack was one of five seriously injured.

The suspect, who was not immediately identified, was “neutralized,” authorities said.

Both incidents unfolded after a dramatic stabbing attack in the town of Petah Tikva, 20 miles east of Tel Aviv. The Israeli victim managed to pull the knife from his own neck and stab the Palestinian attacker, subduing him, The Times of Israel reports.
