IMO, Trump supporters should be welcomed into the big tent - so long as Trump is not the nominee.   The problem with Trump isn't necessarily the issues he is promoting, but rather the race-baiting and other intemperant proclivities of the man himself.

You don't get it. To reinforce your stereotype of us, "No tickee. No washee". We're not interested in your tent without Trump, UNLESS he is beaten fairly in the delegate count, without any shenanigans, and UNLESS the candidate chosen is acceptable to us. It's you guys who have established the precedent that if our demands aren't met, we'll walk. If you don't give a crap about a Hillabernie win, why should we?

Let's see. Trump just won what? Four out of five? Five out of six? Fifteen of the total? So how the hell do you come up with 'the anti-Trumps are a much larger contingent that the pro-Trumps" and 'the antis are increasing"? You're down to Kasich and Cruz, and Cruz ain't really one of yours. Rubio is toast. Gonna draft Romney? Take your 25% and walk? Who cares!

Trump can't command a majority;  his wins have come because he's won a plurality of votes.  Even as candidates have dropped out, their supporters aren't going to Trump.   Roughly speaking, two thirds of the GOP electorate opposes Trump, but until the field is further winnowed, he will continue to win delegates.

It seems clear that the results yesterday will cause Rubio to drop out, possibly throwing his support to Kasich or Cruz.   Heck,  if he were to throw his support to Cruz, Cruz would have as many delegates as Trump does.

With three left in the race, it will be far easier to clear a path to denying Trump a first ballot nomination.   This race is going to be decided on the convention floor.

I already know you "don't give a crap about a Hillabernie win".   I fully support your walking away.

That's right.  And at the same time, you are in the same boat - only worse off.  You are roughly 35% of the GOP.  You cannot win anything without the rest.  And the rest is saying 'No tickee. No washee.' right back at you.  You will not get our support without meeting our demands, which is 'no Trump'.

Hence the impasse.

What you and most anti-Trump ignore is the fact that unlike any other candidate Trump has attracted independents, libertarians and Blue Dog Democrats. All of whom are needed to win the November election.

Hillary will attract more, and a sizable amount of Republicans.

Republicans? You mean RINOs. Anyone who votes for that evil, lying witch is either like her or mentally defective.

Trump's percentage of the vote is at 34 % (66% of GOP voters prefer someone else) and his delegate percentages in each contest is decreasing as well.

If 25% walk, Trump can't win.  Period.

Yes, Hillary will do very well amongst Republicans who like to buy office holders and have them stay bought.

Hey, if the election comes down to a match between a bigoted fascist and a corrupt socialist,  many of us will be faced with a true two-evils choice.

If that's the case, maybe it's mentally defective to bother to vote at all.

This is why so many of us are so virulently anti-Trump.  It's only if Trumpism is defeated now, before or at the convention,  that there will be a conservative to vote for in November.

Yeah, really.  In my opinion, of course.  The man's a wanna-be Mussolini or Hugo Chavez.  If he's the nominee, smile and be happy that I'll be gone from the GOP and won't come back.  You can have whole sordid, evil mess to yourself.
