Republican primary won't be over 'til MAY - at the earliest - says top party official

Republican National Committee Communications Director Sean Spicer said the earliest the nomination fight could wrap up is May
Only about one-third of Republican delegates have been won with Donald Trump and then Ted Cruz receiving the bulk of them
GOP candidates have to win 1,237 to clinch the nomination
Spicer said he didn't expect the nomination fight to extend into the convention though John Kasich and Marco Rubio have both discussed it

The Republican primary race will go on for at least two more months, a top GOP official said today.

Sean Spicer, the communications director for the Republican National Committee, went through the delegate math this morning on CNN's New Day and explained that even if one candidate won every single delegate going forward the Republican race wouldn't wrap up until April 26.

'That's literally impossible so we basically guarantee right now that we won't have a nominee until May,' Spicer said.

We in WA don't have our Primary until May 24th, with our earlier caucus not allowing voting this year. Not even a straw poll was taken.    Hope we still have a choice by then.
