Soldier of Fortune magazine to stop publishing after 40 years

Long the beacon in the newsstand for those who yearned to meet interesting people in far off lands- and maybe get into a firefight with them, will fade away to digital only starting in April.

Founded by renowned international man of mystery, Vietnam-era Green Beret Lt. Col. Robert K. Brown, "The Journal of Professional Adventurers" based in Boulder, Colorado will no longer appear in print form moving forward

I haven't looked at their magazine in years but their Facebook page was overtaken by tinfoil hats and WN types. (not saying the magazine sanctions it, I just don't find a lot of value in them any more and it is tough to even follow them with all that static).

The magazine went more towards the same away. Used to be a handy resource for keeping up with information and finding the odd contractor - now it's 2 parts Rambo wannabes to 1 part tinfoil. Combat and Survival is inching into the same territory. Hell, Blade magazine is slowly going the same way.
