baier lynchAttorney General Loretta Lynch sat down for a tough, lengthy interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier that largely focused on Hillary Clinton‘s emails.

Lynch assured that “career independent lawyers” are conducting the investigation, but would not say if a grand jury has been convened yet. She repeatedly told Baier that she’s not going to comment on ongoing investigations.

He confronted her about the perception that the DOJ may “cut Secretary Clinton a break” for political reasons, even bringing up White House comments about the investigation. Lynch said every decision the DOJ makes is an independent one because they owe it to all Americans to examine everyone fairly.

She dodged when Baier asked her about using a private server, and asked directly, “Is there any double standard here?”

Lynch said, “There is no double standard on this or any other matter being handled by the Department of Justice.”

I'm surprised Lynch allowed an interview.
