It’s understandable that leading up to Iowa caucus that Mr. Sanders was seeking a last minute push for votes. According to The Blaze:
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders took a jab at GOP “family values” at a large rally in Dubuque, Iowa, Friday night, telling the enthusiastic crowd that Republicans don’t want women to have the right to control their own bodies.
“They love families, can’t stop talking about families,” the Vermont senator said. “When Republicans talk about family values, what they are saying is no women in this room, in this state, in this country should have the right to control her own body.”
“I disagree,” Sanders added, receiving cheers from the rambunctious crowd.
The comments came just days ahead of the Feb. 1 Iowa caucuses.
What’s interesting is that Mr. Sanders can only seem to point out the abortion issue. Most liberals believe a woman should be able to kill a baby up until the day before birth. Conservatives believe in and respect life, meaning that they are not interested in killing babies.
If this is what Mr. Sanders means, then I believe he just ensured he doesn’t get conservative votes.
