I've spent the last few months teaching myself to play lap steel guitar. (Not to play
hee-haw music with!) You'd be amazed at how good the blues sound on one!

Sonny Rhodes, "If the Blues Fits, Wear It"

Jackie & Tut (Herb Kent & Freddie Roulette; Freddie Roulette is the lap steel player here), "Hawaiian Punch"/"10-2 Double Plus"

Freddie Roulette with Kathy McDonald, "Directly from My Heart to You"

Now, here's a recording of me playing lap steel on one of my own songs . . .

Yours Truly, "The Rain's Playing"

"The question of who is right is a small one, indeed, beside the question of what is right."---Albert Jay Nock.

Fake news---news you don't like or don't want to hear.

Lots of great stuff on this one.  Took me a while to get thu it all!

Brother Pete....I enjoyed Link Wray!   Looking for more of them as we speak!

Link Wray was a him,not a them. He was the guy playing lead guitar and singing. He died a couple of years ago,and was still out on the road playing gigs when he died.
