Look the other way.  Gay marriage, abortion, Christian persecution, the TPP, and enforcing immigration laws of course has nothing to do with 'this topic.'

Knee jerk response.  Did you actually read my comment?

That's pretty good. It's an strong counter attack and Cruz has shown himself to be a strong campaigner capable of playing politics with the best of them.

Where Trump has went wrong is to call for a new election. That makes it sound like the process itself is tainted. I know that's not what he means, but that's how it could play. If handled right, he could really get burned with the right turn of phrase.
The Republic is lost.

You don't think he was calling on memories of the 2000 election?  Whether deliberately or not?

I think he tried to grab on to something without gaming it out on paper. He's on a limb now waiting for it to be sawed off.

The tell will be if Kaufmann Chair of the Iowa GOP makes a statement.

I think Trump is making a play here for Carson's supporters when/if he does decide to get out of the race.

Good observation. Trump continues to show us he knows how to play chess.

That may be his gamble. Carson will likely fade fast now so hopefully the juice will be worth the squeeze.

Why do I have the feeling I'm going to need to find my Sore Loserman signs from 2000?

I took this down at the Supreme Court building during the rally/demonstration outside!

Just think....these young girls are all in their late 20's or early 30's right now and have careers and are, perhaps, mothers, too!

Trump is coming from a position that all Carson's defects went to Cruz, and that he may have won if not for the erroneous report.

I think that's a valid position.  I'd be REALLY pissed if I was Ben Carson and I think I'd be teaming up with me's some Trump Kick Ass.

Even though there is no evidence that ANY Carson supporters went anywhere.  Carson pulled in about where he was expected to.

Expected to - based on what?  I thought all the polls were wrong.  I mean, the guy did come in 4th place - who's to say?  If I were Carson, the thought of it would bother me very much.

Oh well, Hillary won on 6 coin tosses too.

No shark jump here - this is all about keeping it in the news cycle another day and giving the reporters covering Cruz in N.H. a question to ask him at his stops.

Nothing to see here!

This question from the link continues to concern me:

"Now ask yourself, if Senator Cruz was actually an “outsider”, why would a Super-PAC being run by Mitch McConnell’s attorney, be supporting Ted Cruz?"

Makes you stop and go, hmmmm?  :pondering:

Yes, Sanguine, but the schedule E Report of Independent Expenditure here clearly shows Eric Lycan, Mitch McConnell's attorney, heads this superPAC giving a lot of money to Ted Cruz.

So how does Ted Cruz remain autonomous from the establishment while a special interest superPAC tied to Mitch McConnell gives him money?

Donald Trump has no superPACs supporting him. The entire raison d'être of the Trump candidacy is that no one, not even the establishment owns him.

When a special interest group gives a politician a lot of money, they expect something in return--they're not funding a politician out of the goodness of their heart.

Or anyone else. Nobody, not even the people, own him. You see, he's really really rich, and he can own everyone else.

Think good and hard about if that's a good idea.

It was almost exact, wasn't it?  10% - 10%.

NO bleeding from his vote total.   Statistically zero went to Cruz, so it made no difference in the outcome.

Trump is once again, craving attention, and taking his legitimate LOSS like the infant he is.

Jim, I'll ignore your point for a moment and ask a question. Why are donors abandoning Jeb and moving their support to Rubio?

We all know the answer to that question. The moneyed interests are looking for a winner to back, so that they may call in their chits in the future, and Jeb doesn't look like he's got a future.

Just more of the same BS that needs to be driven out of politics.

I want an independent president fighting for the American people not for moneyed special interest groups.

Trump has every right to be pissed and to make a stink....if only to put them on notice.

IOWA chose Rick Santorum, who's now out of the race, and before that, Mike Huckabee, who's now out of the race.

People of IOWA vote with their bibles...and they've got a real sh*tty record of picking winners.

The rest of the EAST and S. Carolina won't be like that.   Either will Nevada.

But it's obvious that Carson's voters, hearing he was bailing....went with Ted Cruz, who unabashedly, spoke of Christ and His Glory.

I see most have chosen to ignore the plain-as-day evidence tying Ted Cruz to Mitch McConnell through a superPAC.

The only "consistent" and "principled" thing about Ted Cruz so far is that Ted Cruz is consistently a politician.

Looked into Lycan when this came up last time. He was McConnell's attorney - once - for his re-election bid in 2012.
Is it some deep conspiracy?
Or is it that he's the ONLY member of the Republican Lawyers Association in Kentucky that specialises in election law?

You decide.
