Brokaw: ‘Almost No Discussion’ of ISIS, Foreign Policy in Democratic Race
Posted By Jack Heretik On January 31, 2016 @ 12:57 pm In Politics | No Comments

On NBC’s Meet The Press Sunday, Tom Brokaw critiqued the 2016 Democratic nomination race, stating that there has been almost no mention of the Islamic State by the candidates or their strategy of how to defeat ISIS.

“Well, what’s been missing from the Democratic side however, is what is the international policy?  What are they going to do about ISIL?  What are we going to do?  We’re in a war, and there’s been almost no discussion on the Democratic side,” Brokaw said.

Brokaw singled out Sanders by asking him what he would do to handle ISIL.

“I asked Bernie Sanders the other day, he wandered all over the landscape, but clearly didn’t have an idea about how he would deal with what’s going on in the Middle East if he gets there,” Brokaw said.

Brokaw further mentioned that the Democratic race has largely focused on domestic issues. The longtime NBC anchor has been critical of Democrats in the past over ISIS, saying the Obama administration had demonstrated “benign neglect” toward the terrorist organization in a November appearance.

There's "no discussion" because there's no concern.

No plan, either.
