Confirmed: Black Lives Matter Is The Lie Of The Century

Writing for the Conservative Tribune earlier today, I described a new report by Manhattan Institute fellow Heather Mac Donald that revealed that “most black victims die at the hands of violent black criminals, not police officers”:
“The evidence does not support the conclusion that American police are waging a racist war against blacks,” the Manhattan Institute report said. “The Black Lives Matter movement has been a counterproductive distraction from the real violence problem facing black communities: violence from criminals, not the police.”
According to her analysis, if law enforcement officers were to completely stop using lethal force against disobeying and/or violent black suspects, their passivity would have no more than “a negligible effect on the black death-by-homicide rate.”
Why? Because black homicide is driven by black-on-black crime, not cop-on-black shootings, the latter of which are more often than not defensible.
The Manhattan Institute arrived at this conclusion by reviewing data from the Centers for Disease Control, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice.
Black Homicide Rate
What we hear from “Black Lives Matter” protesters and their supporters, on the other hand, is based on bobbledygook — including the premise that “Black Lives Matter” more than “all lives” because more black people die at the hands of the police than everybody else:
“Police shootings account for a much smaller share of homicides in the black community than in other communities: 4 percent of black homicide victims are killed by the police, compared with 12 percent of white and Hispanic homicide victims,” [Mac Donald] wrote.
Another frequently touted lie is the belief that police officers unfairly target black communication.
According to Mac Donald, black people made up only 15 percent of the population in 2009 but “constituted 62 percent of all robbery defendants, 57 percent of all murder defendants [and] 45 percent of all assault defendants.”
“Disproportionately high black crime rates mean that police — if they are deploying their resources where they are most needed — will be called disproportionately to minority neighborhoods in response to violent incidents,” she explained.
No matter which way you look at the facts, the conclusions always remain the same. Like I opined for the Conservative Tribune, “The biggest threat to black victims isn’t the police; it’s other black people who have, sadly, fallen sway to the epidemic of black criminality.”
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a simple fact — one that no amount of race-baiting can ever disprove.
