   @Ghost Bear Love the Troubadors, My favorite

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucgdvA-lZIU

   listened to Ray Wylie butcher Choctow Bingo last night, never was one of my favorites by McMurtry and there are damn few of those.

   Feeling like some Robert Earl Keen, myself, after Mercury.

Nope, KOKE-FM. They play a lot of Texas/Red Dirt music, some oldies, a few Nashville acts (no Bro-country, thankfully.) Their playlist gets a little repetitive for me but generally I like what they play.

   Can't pick them up here, but next time I'm up that way, I'll tune in they sound a lot like my favorite broadcaster here.

There's a "Listen Live" link at the top of their webpage so you can hear them over the Internet. They also have a nice phone app.

You said the word "brother" a few posts back, and that made me think of this song:

Kind of a funny map I found.  One usually sees these per another state.

Always a good song, this is where Johnny said Dylan was the best songwriter around, I don't agree with hyperbole but it is a fine song.

  @TomSea great selections, love that map too.  Your James Talley reminded me of this.

   That was hilarious @sneakypete , never seen that show.
    Thanks for taking care of these Threads each morning, I'm not really a early riser unless there's contractual obligations.

@corbe

Scrubs was,IMHO,the funniest sit com to ever appear on tv. I am shocked that nobody from that show became a major star. It was on for 9 seasons on ABC and NBC.
Ted was my favorite character. The man was a walking bag of insecurities swimming in a sea of massive egos.

All 9 seasons can now be seen on Netflix as well as other places. Start your day off with a smile and good mood by watching an episode or two after breakfast.

The most classic of country, way way back when. They sing this with so much enthusiasm, totally hats off to them.

Kind of nice.

Some present day FM country is so terrible, I was trying to find a decent song by this Heidi Merril from Nebraska, but it's just like some other pop music now, it seems if one is showing some flesh, that's what sells.

Just for me, I think this is a modern classic:

Even Alan Jackson relies on some old songs he plays for his repertoire.

@TomSea @corbe

Want to hear a couple of modern classics? Here are three. The first one I have to post without listening to because it is so freaking perfect I can't get it out of my head for days after listening to it.
