Quote
on Saturday night, speaking for about 15 minutes longer than Cruz did, and took the audience way off Cruz’s message.

“We have to realize that compassion comes in different packages than what is being sold,” Beck said on the stage for the Cruz event, about 40 minutes into his hour-long rant.

And let’s not forget that charity begins at home. If we don’t get a hold of our borders, if we let this continue to go on, we are the lifeboat of the world—bring me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses—we are the lifeboat of the world. Unless we get control of our borders, our boat will sink and we won’t be able to help anyone. There are people who wish to do us harm. There are people who wish to bleed us dry. And those people must be sent home. But at the same time—at the same time—I was with an Irishman this week. I just hired a guy from Ireland. He lives in Dublin. He loves our country so much. He wants to live here so badly. He’s not popular in Ireland as you can imagine.

After explaining more about his Irish friend, Beck noted he hired the Irishman for TheBlaze radio “to remind us of what people think about us on the outside of our country because we have forgotten.”

Beck’s speech continued by urging Iowans to support someone like Cruz, who he argued would take risks to bring as many Marxist atheists—like Cruz’s father was when he came in from Cuba— as possible into America from foreign lands on the off chance they might end up seeing the light and becoming conservative Christians.

“So when we look at immigration, let’s remember that people—if they want to come here and want to be Americans—they renew us,” Beck said.

I can't tell from that article what Beck was saying - or, trying to say.

Very tortured language.

Beck needs to slow down, make clear notes, practice, and then sleep on everything he says.

Okay, fool me once......but if Cruz lets this man back up on a stage with him and lets him ramble on and on unfettered for what?  An HOUR - longer than Cruz spoke.....it reminds me of Bernie Sanders ceding his stage for Black Lives Matter people.

Cruz is finished if he keeps this up.  The only reason I can come up with is that he is getting an awful lot of money coming from under Glenn Beck's umbrella.

This is sad to watch.

His pick of Beck is strange.

Some people hear do listen to Beck for whatever reason, right? Would one of them be kind enough to translate this meandering gibberish into something approaching English, please?

Two players that Ted Cruz' campaign manager Jeff Roe "helped" in the 2012, were Richard Mourdock of Indiana, and Rick Perry of Texas.

The fact Cruz is continuing with Beck, is a testament to lack of judgment, by BOTH Roe and Cruz, IMO.

I think he was trying to say that America was built by and is sustained to this day by immigrants, and those who wish to come to its shores out of admiration for its values and opportunities ought to be allowed to do so; but at the same time, like every other nation on earth, we must guard our borders against those who wish to do us harm, and refuse easy entry to those unwilling to support themselves.

But that would have taken only 45 seconds or so, and Glenn never says anything that might as well be said in 100 words, when he can use 10,000.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn
