The Mexican actress who helped broker a meeting between drug lord El Chapo and Sean Penn is now being investigated for possible money laundering, authorities have revealed.

Kate del Castillo, the soap star who swapped romantic texts with Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman while he was on the run last year, is thought to have taken funds from him to start a tequila business.
