Donald Trump says Kim Jong Un deserves ‘credit’ for wiping out rivals

WASHINGTON—North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un should be given “credit” for quickly consolidating his power by executing other elites, Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump said at a rally in Iowa on Saturday.

Trump has described Kim as a “total nut job.” On Saturday, he called him a “maniac.” But he also said Kim deserves his due for the way he has managed to quickly seize unquestioned control of his country after the death of his father, Kim Jong-Il, in 2011.

“If you look at North Korea, this guy, he’s like a maniac. OK? And you’ve got to give him credit: how many young guys — he was like 26 or 25 when his father died — take over these tough generals, and all of a sudden — you know, it’s pretty amazing when you think of it. How does he do that?”

“Even though it is a culture, and it’s a cultural thing, he goes in, he takes over, he’s the boss. It’s incredible,” Trump said. “He wiped out the uncle, he wiped out this one, that one. This guy doesn’t play games, and we can’t play games with him. Because he really does have missiles, and he really does have nukes.”

This was not a gaffe. Trump offered similar thoughts in an interview on Fox News on Thursday, though he then sounded less enthusiastic about Kim’s methods.

Trump appears to be using iron-fisted world leaders to bolster his case that only a ruthless man like him, rather than “weak” U.S. President Barack Obama, can lead America. He has already been criticized for praising autocratic Russian PresidentVladimir Putin, who called him “bright and talented” in December, and for happily accepting Putin’s praise.

Trump, who boasts about his ability to seize media attention, has managed to provoke controversy at most of his rallies. On Friday night, a silently protesting Muslim woman, who was wearing a hijab and a shirt reading “Salam, I come in peace,” was kicked out of his event in South Carolina.

...hmm...somehow seeing who can be the most 'ruthless' leader in the world doesn't leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling.  It is sad to think that that this is what the world has become.  Putin, ISIS, Kim Jong Un, and perhaps Trump vying to see who is more 'ruthless'...God help us!

The real world is their are ruthless leaders and they are not interested in holding hands and signing Kumbyha! This is not a reality show where everything is scripted. They will cut you eyes and throat out in a minute and the only thing they UNDERSTAND is FORCE and someone not afraid to use it. Same with the MUSLIMS they only get it when there head is on the end of a stick and the rest of the body parts have been sold. Sorry but TRUE!
