Abdul Malik Abdul Kareem has been charged with a plot to blow up last season’s Super Bowl

Abdul Malik Abdul Kareem, who was born and raised in Philadelphia, has been described as ‘off-the-charts dangerous’ and is already accused of training two men who were killed during an attack on a ‘Draw Muhammad’ event in Texas.

Kareem, 43, has been indicted on charges that say he wanted to use pipe bombs to kill scores of people at February’s Super Bowl XLIX in Phoenix, Arizona.

More than 70,000 fans, as well as the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks – and celebrities such as half-time show singer Katy Perry – were in the stadium for the NFL’s showpiece game.

The indictment, seen by CNN, says Kareem – who is also known as Decarus Thomas – also accessed a list made by ISIS which contains the names and addresses of U.S. servicemen.

The accused is already charged with providing weapons and training to Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, who were killed as they launched an attack on a ‘Draw Muhammad’ event in Texas in May.

The trio made a list of targets for attacks, according to court documents. It is said to have contained the University of Phoenix Stadium – where the Super Bowl was held – as well as military bases, shopping malls and the cartoon contest his two alleged co-conspirators opened fire on.

Simpson, 30, and Soofi, 34, were shot dead by police after shooting an unarmed security guard in the ankle during the anti-Islam art contest.

Simpson – who was previously the subject of a terror investigation – and his roommate Soofi were armed with assault rifles when they were killed by a quick-thinking traffic officer outside the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Dallas.

The shooting unfolded as the American Freedom Defense Initiative held an event inside the building where caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad were being displayed.
