School Kids to Sing 'Allahu Akbar' at Holiday Concert
It shows no signs of stopping...

Parents in Minnesota are not happy that a holiday concert at their children's high school will feature a song celebrating Ramadan in which their kids will sing, "Allahu Akbar."

The CBS-affiliate WCCO is reporting that Blaine High School's concert will also include Christian and Jewish songs. The only ones listed are the Christmas songs Away in a Manger and Silent Night. It is not made clear that all verses of these songs are being sung or if they have been edited in any way.

Ramadan, which is a summer holiday in the U.S., celebrates with a song titled, Eid un Sa'Eid. Here is a sample of the lyrics:

    Ramadan has come and gone
    Eid has dawned upon us
Thank You Allah for this blessed day
It's a time of happiness, a time of joy
Thank You Allah for this blessed day
    Eid-un Sa'eed-un
    Yawm-un farhaan-un
    Yawm-un jameel-un
    Eid-un Sa'eed
    Eid-un Sa'eed-un
    Yawm-un jameel-un
    Yawm-un farhaan-un
    Eid-un Sa'eed
    All over the world
    Under the big-blue sky
    Muslims unite to worship Allah
It's a time of brotherhood, a time of peace
Muslims are singing praises to Allah
    Allahu Akbar
    Allahu Akbar

According to WCCO, the Anoka-Hennepin School District has received a dozen complaints from both parents and outsiders. In a statement, the district defended the song choice:

Songs are not performed in a worship setting or to promote religion, but rather in [an] educational setting where students are learning and performing music.

The district says they must give equal time to all cultures and backgrounds that are represented at its school. Anyone that feels uncomfortable singing the songs doesn't have to.

Those chuckleheads in Minnesota will soon get all they want, and much more. They have a large Somali muslim population that will continue to expand and be augmented with the "refugees".

Those poor idiots of Scandinavian descent will soon learn what life is like back in the homelands of Norway and Sweden.

Whatever happened to "separation of church and state"? Does that not apply equally to mosques?

Never mind for the moment that the Constitution mandates no such separation in the sense of restraining expressions of private faith in public places.

What is maddening is the absolute double-standard involved, of a kind that exists in every nook and cranny of American life today.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

When you teach to tests, and totally avoid any type of critical thinking, you can produce good little citizens that will buy into almost anything.

True, but it's more than just that. Hypocrisy and obvious unfairness are naturally jarring to most people. It usually pisses people off when they are on the receiving end of a bad deal. Are we such a nation of sheep that we simply stand to be fleeced? Or potentially, worse?

Older, nominally sane Minnesotans may have issues with this. They might even be angry.

But part of the current public school indoctrination program is that: white=bad, Christian=terrible, male=trouble, white male Christian=evil.

It says "church and state".  It doesn't say "mosque and state".

Obviously said tongue in cheek, but I guarantee you, many of them sorta think that way.  Islam is a "minority" religion*, so it's ok, whereas those big, bad overbearing Christians need to be held in check.

Combine that with dumbing-down via ignorance of history and I think we both know where that's leading America, and it's nowhere good. Obama loves it.
