Danish researcher: Islam is more violent
'Hundreds of invitations to fight against people of other faiths'

Despite the fact some political factions, both right and left, across the U.S. have dubbed Islam a religion of peace, new research from a Danish expert confirms that it is, in fact, violent.

The conclusion was noted in a report at Jihad Watch, which monitors the toll of the religion of Muhammad.

“Together with a number of research assistants, the Danish linguist Tina Magaard spent three years examining the texts of the 10 largest religions,” explained Nicolai Sennels on the Jihad Watch site. “The conclusion was clear: ‘The texts of Islam [are] clearly distinct from the other religions’ texts as [they include] a higher degree call for violence and aggression against followers of other faiths.’

“There are also direct incitement to terror … Moreover, in the Quran [there are] hundreds of invitations to fight against people of other faiths.”

The original report immediately drew a negative reaction from supporters of Islam.

The work by Magaard, who holds a Ph.D. in text analysis and intercultural communication from the Sorbonne in Paris, found that “it is indisputable that the texts [of Islam] encourage violence and terror.”

But Imam Abdul Wahid Peteresen, of Copenhagen, said the research inappropriately took quotes out of context, and questioned if there are repeated calls for violence, why Muslims have not “eradicated all other faiths in the communities where Muslims are in the majority?”

And Imam Ahmed Abu Laban said he would not waste time “on someone who will create a false idea of Islam.”

But Jihad Watch pointed out that the research cited Quran 47:4, which states, “So when you meet those who disbelieve, strike their necks until you have inflicted slaughter upon them.”

It also cited another study that questioned 45,000 teenagers and concluded “boys growing up in religious Muslim families are more likely to be violent.”

The author of that study, Christian Pfeiffer, from a criminal research institute in Lower Saxony, said even when other social factors are taken into account, there remained a significant correlation between “religiosity and readiness to use violence.”

“The fact that Islam is the world’s most violent religion is most likely the reason why Muslims since September 11, 2011, [have] committed more than 27,000 deadly terrorist attacks in the name of Islam. This corresponds to approximately 2,000 a year or five a day,” Jihad Watch said.

The report cited thereligionofpeace.com website, which has documented Islam-related violence since the terror attacks on New York and Washington.

“Another fact is that the number of Muslims in the Western world is increasing dramatically and that they are becoming still more religious: 75 percent of Muslims inside Europe think that the texts of the world’s most violent religion must be taken literal,” the report said.

Jihad Watch noted 80 percent of young Turks in Holland “see ‘nothing wrong’ in waging jihad against non-Muslims.”
