Exactly...not only did Cruz hold him accountable using Constitutional law in several different cases; he also stopped him from giving up our sovereignty to the U.N. In addition, "W" enacted the "Patriot Act". Although the Constitution says treaties are the "supreme law of the land," W" abrogated them on his own. We now know, he ordered a secret program of electronic surveillance of Americans without court warrants.
George W. Bush on the Constitution -- "You need to have a president who understands you can't win this war with legal papers. We've got to use every asset at our disposal." --May 13, 2003, ABC News' Nightline.
-- "GOP leaders told Bush that his hardcore push to renew the more onerous provisions" of the Patriot Act "could further alienate conservatives still mad at the President from his botched attempt to nominate White House Counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.
-- "'I don’t give a damn,' Bush retorted. 'I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.'
"'Mr. President,' one aide in the meeting said. 'There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.'
"'Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,' Bush screamed back. 'It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!'" --Reported in Capitol Hill Blue, December 9, 2005.
I have often wondered and questioned "W"'s appointment of Chief Justice Roberts and his non-conservative vote on Obamacare. I liked "W" and was fooled by him in the beginning and as time went on became extremely disappointed with him. He turned out to be nothing more than a RINO and his brother Jeb was a disaster for Florida and will be a disaster for the country if elected President.
