Russians are urged to become the nation of victory-bearers as 70 years ago, a church official believes

St. Petersburg, October 19, Interfax - Russia's task is to save Europe from moral corruption, deputy head of the Synodal Department for Church and Society Relations priest Roman Bogdasarov believes.

"Christian spirituality protects the world from the total moral corruption. The battle for the future of humanity has already begun, but the theatre of war is informational and social political environment. Today as 70 years ago God's providence calls Russian people to become the nation of victory-bearers," the priest said at an international conference in St. Petersburg.

According to him, Russia broke the attack of man-hating ideology of nazism, opposing it with the union of various nations and representatives of religions for the sake of peace.

"Today we have to use this experience to help those who suffer from the dictate of anti-Christian ideology of comfort and freedom of sexual perversions in European countries," the priest said.

He noted that Russia managed to survive "the pressure of different provocateurs" who tried to plant the seeds of interethnic and religious hatred in the country "through blasphemous actions in churches, unacceptable exhibitions, insulting advertisement and theatre performances."

"Apotheosis of "European values" attack against Russian society were the attempts to consider extremist Holy Scriptures of traditional religions," the priest stated.

Anyone think they got an argument to counter this point?
