Whistleblower: Terror Intel 'Grossly Thrown to the Side' by CENTCOM
As seen on Hannity

Sean Hannity was joined tonight by a former Army official who claims key pieces of intelligence about terror activity in Iraq were "grossly thrown to the side" by U.S. Central Command after Usama bin Laden’s death.

Retired Army Sgt. 1st Class William Kotel said this was done in an attempt to paint a rosy picture of the coalition's efforts in the Middle East.

"They left key information out of intelligence, such as attacks," Kotel said. "The idea was that Al Qaeda was decimated, so therefore it wasn’t part of the threat analysis that should be submitted higher."

Kotel said that is very critical information that is important to the nation's safety and security.

"The chain of command and higher don't see a clear picture if we leave intelligence out, especially about attacks and any kind of Sunni radicals or Al Qaeda issues."

Kotel's lawyer, Lou Puleo, said that Kotel was pushed out of his position and court-martialed after he expressed his concerns in a purely punitive move.

"Since 2010, he’s been trying to do this and trying to get traction for what he thought was a manipulation of the intelligence," Puleo said. "And when he didn’t get any traction, he finally decided that some other agency had to know what he knew, and that’s when the command took their retribution against him and took actions to punish him."
