I am really starting to foster an extreme extreme dislike of animal rights activist.

Just think if every $ wasted at PETA and ASPCA was re-directed to local pet shelters.  Now that's a Christmas wish.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Man posted photos of himself with stacks of cash after stealing from bank, charges say

https://americanmilitarynews.com/2019/12/man-posted-photos-of-himself-with-stacks-of-cash-after-stealing-from-bank-charges-say/

A newly unsealed criminal indictment says a North Carolina man who posted photos on social media of himself posing with stacks of cash is now facing theft, embezzlement and fraud charges.

Henderson is accused of stealing more than $88,000 from a vault at a Charlotte bank where he worked, the release says.

News outlets, including the Charlotte Observer, have published photos that reportedly show Henderson posing with large sums of cash. The release says Henderson posted photos of himself holding stacks of cash in July and August.

He allegedly took tens-of-thousands of dollars in cash over the course of 18 or more occasions this year and used some of the money as a $20,000 cash down payment on a 2019 Mercedes-Benz.

You would think a person who commits a crime would keep quiet about it.  Did this guy really think law enforcement doesn't follow social media?  Or did he want to get caught?

Creditors want to exhume body of cryptocurrency boss who died with passwords
By James Rogers | Fox News
Dec. 16, 2019

Lawyers representing users of the collapsed QuadrigaCX cryptocurrency exchange want Canadian authorities to exhume the body of the company’s founder amid ongoing controversy over the firm’s demise.

Gerald Cotten, the 30-year-old founder of QuadrigaCX, died in India on Dec. 9, 2018, due to complications from Crohn’s disease, according to a sworn affidavit by his wife following his death. Cotten’s body was reportedly brought back to his native Canada for burial.

At the time of his death, Cotten was the only person with the passwords to access the customers' funds. ...

Cotten’s death left customers unable to access more than $160 million in funds and controversy still swirls around the company and its founder.  ...

It's not that they want to see whether the passwords were buried with him. They seem to doubt he died at all.  :pondering:

California groom, 30, is beaten to death with baseball bats at his reception by 'wedding crasher brothers' as he tried to protect guests
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7801573/Groom-beaten-death-reception-wedding-crasher-brothers.html

There's details but the headline is basically the story, those who killed apparently did not even know who the groom was.  Pointless violence barring any unforeseen details that show this was more than about crashing a party.

Umpteenth reminder that we never know how long we have on this earth.

A Georgia man is facing charges after a tire flew off his truck and hit the head of a woman who was walking her dog — killing her in a “freak accident,” authorities said.

Brian Seth Carmichael, 25, of Fort Valley, was driving his 2003 Dodge Ram pickup late Sunday when one of its tires somehow got loose and shot 400 yards from an overhead bridge into a trailer park below, Houston County Sheriff’s Lt. Kent Bankston told The Post.

The tire struck Kimberly Touchton, 22, who was walking her dog at the time near Georgia State Route 49 and Highway 11. She was likely unaware what hit her, Bankston said.

“It severed her spine,” Bankston said. “It broke her neck and although they did attempt life-saving measures out there on the scene, she was dead when they got to the hospital. I don’t think she even knew what hit her.” ...

Sounds like a classic 'mob hit' from the 50s.
The attackers may not have known the groom, but likely somebody who sent them there did.
I would guess that there is a deeper side to this story.
The story seems too stupid and too random to be completely random.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

In the same vein as the young woman struck by a tire from 400 yards away is the story about the architect walking along a NYC street when part of a building fell on her and killed her. It must be freak accident week.

In the spirit of Christmas.    :rolling:    This one had me laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my cheeks.

Dad orders wrong inflatable Santa, watches it inflate to the size of his two-story house

Santa Claus is comin’ to town — and he’s looming ominously over an English man’s home.

Matty James, 32, is now the proud owner of a 25-foot inflatable Santa decoration after accidentally ordering the wrong item on eBay around “a month ago.”

James, from Southport, was reportedly expecting an 8-foot-tall Santa, and only became aware of his mistake once he started inflating.

“I remember thinking it looked weird and then all of a sudden, once I started putting the air in it, it kept growing and growing,” James said, according to The Sun. “I did wonder if it was ever going to stop.”

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
