I understand she is going after the Port Authority because it has deep pockets, but it also has it's hands tied by state law as far as requiring proof that a dog is a legal assistance animal. This is why we have all sorts of untrained and dirty animals being taken into grocery stores and even restaurants by old people that just can't be away from their babies and mentally ill people who think their normal and have to take their freaking dogs every where they go.
@GtHawk I see an elderly couple at the local grocery store fairly often that has some sort of minature bull dog that probably weighs 15-20 lbs in the top shelf of their basket near the handlebar. The dog IS quiet and well-behaved,and is always wrapped up in it's own colorful blanket. Probably the oddest thing is the couple are always staring at people's faces, like they are just waiting to jump on someone for objecting.
I would object if the dog were running around on a lease and relieving himself, humping someone's leg, chewing on boxes, etc, etc, etc, but I still think it is more than a little bit odd they can't shop without taking their freaking dog with them, and the look on their faces when you look at the dog is a little disturbing. These seem to be people with an emotional problem.
