A city resident who tried entering the infamous Welles House — a purportedly haunted property at 46 S. Welles St. — was arrested early Wednesday morning after being found armed with a shotgun, sword, brass knuckles, a pocket knife and a copy of the Bible, according to police.

Anthony Parker, 33, of 586 Carey Ave., told police he was at the home to “look for ghosts,” according to the charges. ...

When officers circled around the home, they found Parker holding a pry bar in his left hand, with a 24-inch sword tied to his back, the charges say. Parker was also wearing red gloves, despite the warm weather, police said.

Parker complied with orders to drop the pry bar and to untie the sword, and lay on the ground while police frisked him, police said. The search turned up a silver brass-knuckle bladed weapon that was in Parker's pocket as well as a folding pocket knife and a Bible, the charges allege.

Parker also had a Crown Royal bag containing 10 shotgun shells that was tied to his belt, the complaint says. Parker claimed he had left the shotgun home, but police subsequently found a loaded pistol-grip shotgun in the rear of the home, police said.   ... Rest of story

Weird story. So he was planning to shoot the ghost with a shotgun, or cut them up with a sword, or beat the hell out of them with brass knuckles. That's an odd plan. Apparently this guy has no idea what a ghost is? (if they even exist at all)

The Bible was on target. Along with that he should have sage, holy water, a blessed silver crucifix, lots of lights (ghosts hate light for some reason) and a video recorder. To say this guy is a couple of slices short of a whole pizza would not do it justice. He sounds retarded and heavily prone to violence. Probably a very good coincidence for everybody that he did this and got himself arrested, before he showed up at a mall somewhere looking for people who are demons.

A “once-in-a-lifetime” trip in May for a woman in Australia quickly turned into a harrowing experience when she suffered a bite while feeding a shark, which then dragged her into the water.

Melissa Brunning, 34, was on a yacht in the remote Kimberley region in the northwest part of the country, located about 1,550 miles north of Perth, when she tried to hand-feed up to four tawny nurse sharks swimming around her boat.

Brunning told the West Australian that she didn't realize she shouldn’t hand feed a shark, until the animal became "like a Hoover," sucking her right index finger into its mouth full of rows of razor-sharp teeth...

FOUNTAIN HILLS, AZ - A 92-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after she allegedly shot and killed her son in Fountain Hills Monday because she refused to be admitted into an assisted living facility.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, around 10 a.m., deputies responded to a call of an unknown trouble at a home near Palisades and Saguaro boulevards.

Officials say deputies found that Anna Mae Blessing, 92, had shot and killed her 72-year-old son.

"According to statements provided by suspect Blessing and received by the detectives, she had been contemplating for several days her son’s intentions to place her in an assisted living facility," MCSO said in a news release.

Blessing had reportedly concealed two pistols in the pockets of her robe and then confronted her son in his bedroom. ...

A leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s youth wing shot himself at his girlfriend’s house in Bhopal on Tuesday night, allegedly after he was asked by the woman’s father to “prove his love by killing himself”. He was declared brain dead by doctors and is now on ventilator.

Police said Atul Lokhande, vice-president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) for Arera Mandal went to the woman’s house around 9.30 pm and shot himself in the head with a country made revolver.

According to a Facebook post put up earlier by Lokhande, the woman’s father had told him to prove his love for her by killing himself.

He allegedly promised to let the marriage happen if the youth survived, and if he did not, they could always unite in their next birth.

Armless Miami man charged with stabbing Chicago tourist

An armless homeless man in Miami, Florida has been charged with stabbing a Chicago tourist with scissors.

Jonathan Crenshaw, 46, used his feet to hold scissors and stabbed Cesar Coronado, 22, Miami Beach police said Wednesday.

Crenshaw told police he was lying down just after midnight Tuesday when Coronado kicked him in the head. The man then allegedly stabbed Coronado twice before fleeing the scene, according to the arrest report.

STOCKPORT, ENGLAND - A woman turned herself in to authorities and admitted to killing her father after she found his child porn collection 12 years earlier.

Barbara Coombes, 63, was gardening outside her father's Stockport, England house in 2006 when she found the pornographic images on the table, some of which included her, according to USA Today.

Coombes hit her father, Kenneth, with a shovel and then slit his throat. She later buried his body in the garden.

Coombes, who was sentenced to nine years in prison on Wednesday, testified that her father was a "violent bully" who physically and verbally attacked her while keeping her daughter as a sex slave.

During the trial, Coombes said her father raped her hundreds of times ...

Don't get me wrong. If he really did rape her and there are photos of it,I would stand up and cheer her is she set him on fire and filmed him running around in circles trying to beat the flame out.

I have a zero tolerance for child rapists mindset. I don't want to hear about their troubled upbringing,or how they were bullied at school. All I want to hear about them is that they are now dead and will never do it again.

Children should be left alone to enjoy the brief period of childhood innocence they are blessed with. It only lasts a brief while,and once they lose it they are adults with adult responsibilities for the rest of their lives.
