Youths do some crazy things, I did. But nothing like this. I know it can get some cute remarks, "survival of the fittest" or whatever.
She was only going to start her freshmen year in high school; so really young. I remember one time seeing in the early morning rush hour, these young kids were getting in the way of traffic.
I don't think this story merits being posted as a real news story but it is curious all the same.
You get a few kids together and they might do something they'd never do alone.
Girl, 15, dies 'playing chicken' with an oncoming train in Arizona in front of her daredevil friends
Mariah Contreras, 15, who was about to be a freshman at Willcox High School, died after failing to get out of the way of a train in time after playing 'chicken' with a group of teens. Each child would take a turn attempting to get as close as possible to the train and then dash out of the way before it hit them, according to Rios. Contreras wasn't able to get out of the way and was struck by the outer part of the train, Tuscon Now reported. The other teens she was with were unharmed and are 'doing OK', according to Willcox Police Chief Jose Rios.
