The Jersey City Board of Education voted last week not to close schools for the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, one of the most important holidays for Muslims.

School board members in New Jersey made their decision Thursday despite appeals from Muslim attendees who showed up to advocate that the board change the school schedule.

At one point, things became so heated that an official urged security to “take charge” of the situation. At least one person was seen on video being escorted from the meeting.

Few are willing to identify the enemy. Most often I hear the apologies, that it's a small percentage, that Christians do bad things too, etc. Makes me want to vomit.

Tell one of the apologists that if it's just 10% of muslims that are bad, (I believe it to be more), that's 10% of 1.5B, which works out to 150M people want us dead simply because we exist. Explain that, and the apologists don't even blink.

If an enemy declares war, and you refuse to join the battle, you've already lost.

I'd set a standard for non-standard holidays to be observed.  Something like "if xx% of the school population is of whatever faith, then x number of that faith's holidays are added to the school calendar."

That's the reason behind New York and South Florida schools closing for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

I just say to those idiots... "remember that 10% may be a lot... but those 10% will definitely PO 90% of the Chinese and Indians.  And that's 2.25 billion people now angry at *YOU*!"

Try focusing. This is serious business. The West has been under attack from Islam for 50 years. It has reached a crescendo with the rise of Isis. What are you going to do about it? Mark a Muslim holiday in schools? Be nice to them? Be politically correct? That's your response?
