Euro-sceptic pressure groups are receiving more supporters as the migrant crisis intensifies

Thousands of supporters every day are signing up to a leading pressure group spearheading the push to cut ties with Brussels.

More than 120,000 people have registered to a website launched by the Euro-sceptic pressure group The Know.EU.

And a further 109,000 are following the organisation’s Facebook page.

It comes just days after a shock poll showed that a majority of voters could back Britain’s exit from the EU in the in-or-out referendum promised by David Cameron before the end of 2017.

Andy Wigmore, spokesman for TheKnow.EU, said: “We think maybe the migration crisis has woken people up.

“People are coming to us from all walks of life and across the political spectrum.

“They are becoming really engaged in politics all of a sudden, really fired up and very passionate about the issue of Britain’s membership of the EU.”
