1 Officer Injured, 1 Protester Arrested During Demonstration
September 2, 2015 12:00 PM

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — One person has been arrested by Baltimore police during protests Wednesday morning.

Protesters gathered outside the courthouse where hearings in the Freddie Gray case are underway.

The protester was arrested for blocking a roadway in the area of Pratt St. and Calvert St. for failing to leave after being warned to do so. Contrary to some reports on social media, there was no Taser deployment during this arrest.

One officer has sustained minor injuries this morning while assisting with the arrest.

His injuries did not require hospitalization.

Police say most protesters are being cooperative and not blocking traffic.

Protester Lee Paterson said he’s concerned charges could be dropped.

“You know, this whole thing is bigger than Freddie Gray,” Paterson said. “It’s about poverty.”

Fools made this way because of the American education system or better known as social justice educators.
