Actually, you may be misreading Luis' intent. He is citing the example that, to some, "hate" is normal discourse among reasonably like-minded people on the right side of the political spectrum. His point is valid.

The way it reads on the screen, he was trying to put me on the defensive. To defend what I thought was an innocent acceptable word.
When you read the growing majority of posts on Donald Trump, they're getting more boisterous in their criticism of Trump.
Being totally objective, there are respected members here that won't deny "hating" Trump. Based upon their words alone.
But that's okay. It's not going to make me angry with any of them. They're 'brothers'.
