When I was a young lad my dad, my brother, and I had been out one day fixing fence all day in the hot July sun. When Dad said "That's it for today"  we got on our horses and headed to the house. The horse my brother was riding that day was known to be barn burned so my brother had kept his hammer in his hand when he got on and sure enough as soon as we turned toward that barn his horse bolted. My brother immediately whacked him a good one right between the ears with the side of that hammer and the horse went down like he had been shot!  My dad came back yelling at my brother "Damn boy you are going to kill that horse!" Without even a moments hesitation my brother came back with "Well he ain't worth a damn like he is!"  By that time my brother had dusted himself off and the horse had gotten up so he remounted and we rode quietly back to the house side by side.

It's hammer time for the GOPe!

Damn, bigun.
That ranks with one of the best stories I have heard.
And believe me, I'm old enough to have heard plenty.

Thanks! It just happens to be true.

Seemed an appropriate response

If youu look at the people the GOPe hates, Rubio, Cruz, Trump, et al, you will find that the GOPe blacklist is always identical to the Democrat blacklist which is always identical to the media blacklist. They are all always the same thing.

The GOPe even echo Democrat talking points when trashing Conservative people, which are, of course echoed again by the media at large. They are all the same thing.

If it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.

The GOPe are Democrats. They've may not know it. They may not believe it. But from any practical measure of what the GOPe says, does, and believes, they are nothing more than a branch of the Democrat party.

They can twist and spin their behavior anyway they want. They can offer a hundred more excuses.  It doesn't matter.

Whether they like it or not, whether they admit it or not, whether they even know it or not, they are Democrat clones. And their goal is to crush any opposition to absolute rule, by means of force when necessary, by D.C. over every American citizen, just like the Democrats.

Rush referred to them as "liberals" today.  Not Democrats.

And the facts you've laid out here, plus the fact they haven't fought like an opposition party only reinforce the charge.

The Republican Party consists of Conservatives and Liberals.  The Democrat Party consists of Socialist Marxists.

If you look at the Republican's recent accomplishments, you have to conclude that they are either helping the Democrats - or they are completely ineffective at opposing them!  And they condemn people for wanting to try something different.

We were told over and over and over again:  "We need a Republican Senate!"
So, guess what.  We voted in overwhelming numbers to give the traitorous
RNC what they needed to fight Obama.

And what did they do, my true countrymen?

They courted the friggin rat party and supported them.
And now the GOPe is so surprised at our reaction.

[Blank] them.  (Hope the mod doesn't ban me forever for the implied obscenity.)

That's a reflection of the polity, which means that a Constitutional convention would have a decidedly liberal/leftist majority.

Re:  A Convention of the States, if held, would constitute 30 plus states where Republicans, not leftists, control the state legislatures.

If anyone is critical of a Convention of the States as proscribed by Article V of the US Constitution, are they then opposed to the underlying principles of the Constitution as written in plain ENGLISH text?

It's already starting. People are talking. It's a big project. But it will get done. It depends on how loud the statists in the GOP and DNC squeal. The louder they squeal, the closer we'll come to getting an article 5 convention done.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that you'll get your country back through an Article 5 Convention.

Dan, I've been meaning to ask you something. In your opinion how should we get from where we are now to where we need to be as a country?

He's not in a pest control van. He's operating that drone from a fortified position a few hundred miles away. You wouldn't stand a chance.
