One of the “super PACs” backing Senator Ted Cruz in the Republican presidential contest will begin spending some of the many millions that it has raised.

Keep the Promise I, which is one of four similarly named super PACs in a network supporting Mr. Cruz, started this week with two Internet ads as part of what officials with the group described as a seven-figure media expenditure to be spread over the rest of this year.

The first spot, “Show Me,” is a minute-long ad that uses that phrase from a speech Mr. Cruz gave to say that voters should demand proof of conservative ideals from candidates. The second spot, “Education,” focuses on his criticism of the Common Core educational standards, which much of the Republican base opposes.

The Keep the Promise groups have raised tens of millions of dollars spread among them from a small handful of wealthy donors.

The groups are led by Kellyanne Conway, a Republican pollster, who was a senior strategist with Newt Gingrich’s presidential campaign in 2012. She is also overseeing research and data analysis.

Another operative, M.A. Taylor, will lead the groups’ creative and media strategy. He is known for, among other things, making “Hillary: The Movie,” the 2007 film that led to the Supreme Court case involving the group Citizens United.
