Media Bias Against Donald Trump Proven Without Doubt – And Establishment Republicans In On It
Posted on July 20, 2015 by DCWhispers

A portion of a response by Donald Trump has been used by the Mainstream Media and many of his own Republican presidential opponents to claim Mr. Trump accused longtime U.S. Senator John McCain of “not being a war hero.”

Regardless of whether or not one is a fan of Donald Trump, you should also ask if it makes sense to see the same Mainstream Media which has spent years attempting to diminish the Republican Party, now joining with some Republicans in an attempt to destroy a man who appears unwilling to play the politics of correctness. (Democrats like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry are also using the manufactured story to attack Trump as well.)

Award-winning reporter Sharyl Attkisson, who also found herself facing threats and intimidation when she sought to report on stories damaging to the Obama White House, was among the very first to point out the media conspiracy regarding what Donald Trump actually said about John McCain’s war service – and what he didn’t.

Here is what Attkisson had to say regarding the Trump-McCain dispute now being manipulated by the Mainstream Media:

Quote
An article in the Washington Post today is headlined, “Trump slams McCain for being ‘captured’ in Vietnam.”

The article’s lead sentence states, “Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump slammed Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), a decorated Vietnam War veteran, on Saturday by saying McCain was not a war hero because he was captured by the North Vietnamese [emphasis added].”

Is this report accurate?

In fact, Trump’s actual quote is the opposite of what is presented in the Post’s first sentence.

When a panelist characterized McCain as a “war hero,” the Post is accurate in reporting that Trump initially said McCain is “not a war hero.” But then, Trump immediately modified his statement saying– four times– that McCain is a war hero.

…Trump actually said the opposite of what the Post lead sentence and video caption claim. The Post might have been able to get away stating that Trump “implied” McCain was not a war hero because McCain was captured, but even that would have been a subjective interpretation since Trump had actually stated the opposite.

While Attkisson should be congratulated for her efforts in clarifying what is, and remains, a highly misleading story created and being spread by the Mainstream Media – AND REPUBLICANS, the Washington Post story is the one gaining traction among a growing cadre of media and political Trump enemies. Candidates like Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, and Rick Perry are all demanding Trump either apologize (for something he didn’t actually say) or end his campaign. (Which would benefit them because Trump remains at the top of the polls.)

Does Donald Trump need to improve upon his ability to remain straight-talking but not give his enemies so much verbal ammo upon which to fire back on him? Absolutely. It is a glaring weakness in what remains a fascinating political event – the most interesting and thought-provoking GOP presidential campaign in quite some time.

Some are indicating Trump is finally showing signs of breaking under the combined weight of media and financial attack. One report suggested he has already lost nearly $50 million in business agreements due to his political statements. Now establishment Republicans, Democrats, and their media cohorts are clearly suggesting to Mr. Trump he could lose far more if he persists in attempting to not comply with their version of what a political candidate should be – namely one who doesn’t stray far from the power structure that dominates both parties.

DEVELOPING…

No sympathy for the draft dodging, big mouth, braggart.

Disrespectful towards Hispanics one week, disrespectful to veterans the next week.

Just plain unrealistic to expect him getting away with that "style" of conducting big time politics.

So this week (some) "conservatives" can award him victim status.

Now that he is in the majors, he has to hit major league pitching like all the rest.

Let's just hope he stays in until he knocks out some "Bush Defense" candidates.
Why?  Well, because I'm a bastard, that's why.
