This A-Hole Committed A Strong-Arm Robbery On Two Girls At A Lemonade Stand

Robbing a church, mugging the Salvation Army Santa, stealing from Girlscouts…These are crimes we find particularly despicable because the victims are so pure and defenseless. Let’s add knocking over a lemonade stand to that list, which is something that just happened in San Bernardino County, CA. Seriously, a grown-ass man robbed a couple of girls running a lemonade stand.

The Press-Telegram reports that 18-year old Santini Tate was visiting a friend in Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday when he decided he needed some quick cash. Figuring he might face some resistance by robbing an adult or an adult-run business, he set his sights on two 13-year old girls who were running a lemonade stand.

At around 3:45pm Tate cased the stand. He approached the girls and said he was thirsty but didn’t have any money. Out of the kindness of their hearts, the girls gave Tate a lemonade for free. He made note of the girls’ cash box and began formulating his master plan.

Tate walked away drinking his free lemonade, and then circled back around. He physically knocked over the lemonade stand and grabbed the girls’ pink and turquoise cash box. He ran off thinking he’d just committed the perfect crime.

A brother of one of the girls chased after Tate and was able to recover the moneybox, but it was empty and Tate was gone with $30 of the girls’ cash.

Tate had just robbed two girls at a lemonade stand in broad daylight with plenty of witnesses. You’d think even a semi-intelligent criminal would realize that the cops were coming and maybe he should get the hell out of there, but you’d be wrong. Police found Tate minutes later walking down the street. He had the girls’ $30 in his pocket.

Tate was arrested and booked for strong-arm robbery. Detectives believe he was linked to a series of petty thefts in the area earlier that day. Officials didn’t elaborate on the nature of the other crimes, but I just picture this POS walking around the neighborhood stealing stuff and not thinking that he would ever be held accountable for his actions.

If his lemonade stand heist is any indication, he probably took candy from a baby, stole crutches from a handicapped person, and kicked a puppy.

According to their parents, the girls are so traumatized by this incident that they will no longer be running a lemonade stand. It’s a terrible commentary on our society that lemonade stands can’t operate without armed security.

I feel like a man that would commit a strong-arm robbery on girls at a lemonade stand is beyond redemption. Sadly, he probably won’t even go to jail for this crime. Clearly he has no moral compass and will most certainly graduate to even more violent and despicable crimes.
