Racial Hysteria Leads To Cultural Purge: Video Games And Presidents On The Chopping Block

Calls to remove the Confederate Flag from all of society were just the beginning. As overly sensitive lefties try to sanitize our country of anything they find offensive it has sparked a nationwide cultural purge. Retailers like WalMart have stopped selling Confederate flag merchandise. A film critic wants the “racist” film Gone With The Wind relegated to the dustbin. Anything associated with the South or perceived to have racist attributes in now under fire.

Apple Yanks Games With Confederate Flags From App Store
Today, Apple decided to start yanking games that use the Confederate flag in any way (via TouchArcade). For example, you can now no longer buy the strategy iOS games Civil War: 1862, Civil War: 1863, Civil War: 1864, and Civil War: Gettysburg, which, as you might guess, use the Confederate flag because they’re video games about the Civil War.
A note sent to one developer by Apple reads:
“We are writing to notify you that your app has been removed from the App Store because it includes images of the Confederate flag used in offensive and mean-spirited ways.”
I just checked the iTunes store and the film Gettysburg, which has gratuitous use of the Confederate flag, as well as several Lynyrd Skynyrd albums with Confederate flag covers are still available. I’m sure those will be the next things to go.
New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu calls for removal of Robert E. Lee Statue
Now is the time to talk about replacing the statue of Robert E. Lee, as iconic as it is controversial, from its perch at the center of Lee Circle, Mayor Mitch Landrieu announced Wednesday (June 24) during a gathering held to highlight his racial reconciliation initiative.
I just visited this monument a couple of years ago. I’m glad I got to see it before the PC bulldozers level it. New Orleans also has a very nice Civil War museum that features Confederate artifacts, which I’m sure, will be burned in the name of progress.
ANOTHER RACIST TO BE EVICTED FROM AMERICAN HISTORY: WOODROW WILSON
Numerous public schools are named after Wilson, and the Woodrow Wilson bridge connects Maryland and Virginia south of the District of Columbia. These names should all be changed, if we are to deprive racists of historical recognition. Further, Wilson is the only president buried at the National Cathedral. Is it appropriate for a virulent racist to be so honored? Perhaps his remains should be transferred to a less exalted setting.
Woodrow Wilson was a democrat, the leader of the Progressive Movement, established the Federal Reserve, the Federal Trade Commission, and federal income taxes and I still believe he deserves his place in history.
One of the more insipid cultural purge initiatives comes from The Guardian, which wants readers to help identify and stamp out any historical sites that are racist and offensive:

The Charleston shootings in South Carolina have sparked massive rallies to do away with Confederate flags on public buildings – a nod to the country’s racist history which should, according to many, not fly above legislatures, libraries, statehouse grounds or even state-issued license plates.
This call has now gone national, but many symbols which are routinely denounced as racist are still on display, from Tennessee to Pennsylvania.
We are asking readers to help us map public symbols, landmarks, place names and statues denounced as racist, along with a picture when possible…
This is just a small sampling of the race hysteria that is sweeping our nation. Wiping our history clean of anyone who is perceived of being racist by today’s standard will do nothing to improve race relations. Cleansing our culture of things some may find offensive will not improve the conditions of poor minorities. The only thing that will be achieved with this purge is to give those in power the ability to control how we think and feel.
You know who wants to rewrite the history books? Fascist dictators. You know who initiates cultural purges? Communist regimes. You who seeks to control thought and behavior? Totalitarians. Anyone that thinks destroying our history is a step toward healing is an idiot.
