Pat Venditte, the Oakland Athletics' switch-pitching sensation, has the ability to live on land and in water, according to the East Oregonian. The little paper published out of Pendleton, Oregon, ran a headline on a story about Venditte touting him as "amphibious" rather than ambidextrous.
Who are they to judge what species he identifies with? If he likens himself to a newt, so be it. One's species may not be a matter of birth but a matter of choice. He should receive a bravery award for coming out as transpecies.
Now this gives submarine pitching a whole new meaning, doesn't it?
