This is completely awesome in my book - and love him or hate him, it’s hard not to like this quote and what he’s doing today -

Since I consider Snowden to be a traitor, I cannot consider Rand Paul to be sufficiently wise or concerned about our national security.

Two consecutive presidents, from opposing parties, guided by top military, intelligence and legal advisors, supported this system to gather data.

To ignore that, going the Snowden-Rand Paul route, is naïve at the least, and dangerous at the worst.

Do not forget, we have had some information before horrific terrorism took place. We failed to act. To eliminate the methodology of gathering information, seems a step backwards.

The unassailable truth of the history of governments is 1) over time they tend to grow in power, and 2) with that growth they tend to use any means necessary to squash internal dissent against the ruling class.

Once everyone is in the database what's to stop an Obama v2 from targeting her political enemies (think her thighness)?
