CNN: “Star Wars” is more Islamic than the Islamic State

HellyerI was all set to take out more garbage — i.e., answer still more media lies and distortions, but in this piece, “‘Star Wars’ or ISIS: Which is more Islamic?,” (CNN, May 12, 2015), author H. A. Hellyer, a non-resident fellow at the Project on U.S. Relations with the Islamic World at the Qatar-funded Brookings Institution’s Centre for Middle East Policy, contents himself with showing, quite fancifully, that “Star Wars” is Islamic. He doesn’t bother to show how the Islamic State is not Islamic, perhaps because there has already been an avalanche of such articles published by CNN and others. The case is made, at least for the mainstream media.
