Kerry Told Iran He Wishes the US Had Its Own Supreme Ayatollah

An unaccountable dictator who unleashes violent mobs and the secret police against the opposition in the name of Islam. I thought that’s what we had already [2]?

But apparently Kerry isn’t satisfied with Obama’s Ayatollishness. He’d like America to have the Full Ayatollah.


Secretary of State John Kerry told his Iranian counterpart that he wished the United States had a leader more like Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, according to comments made by a senior Iranian cleric and repeated in the country’s state-run media.

Ayatollah Alam al-Hoda claimed during Friday prayer services in Iran that in negotiations over Tehran’s contested nuclear program, Kerry told the country’s foreign minister that he “wished the U.S. had a leader like Iran’s supreme leader,” according to a Persian-language report on the remarks published by the Asriran news site.

“In the negotiations Kerry told [Iranian Foreign Minister Javad] Zarif that he [Kerry] wished U.S. had a leader like Iran’s supreme leader,” according to Alam al-Hoda, who is a senior member of the Iran’s powerful Assembly of Experts.

A senior administration official told the Washington Free Beacon that such a contention is patently absurd.

Except that Kerry has a long history of making patently absurd remarks and cozying up to the enemy. This is the man who recently claimed that he’s on a mission from God to save Muslim countries from Global Warming [3].

And it’s entirely possible that Kerry’s sucking up to Iran involved comments along those lines.

Both Obama and Iran lack any credibility when it comes to honesty so there’s really no way to know whether Kerry said such a thing, but Obama did pine openly about lacking the power of the Chinese dictator. Maybe Obama Inc. is switching its Chinese Communist envy for Iranian Ayatollah envy.
