alshabaab1An imam? How did he miss all the Qur’an’s peaceful passages? How did he so spectacularly misunderstand the Religion of Peace he has given his life to understanding and teaching properly?

“Kenya: Imam in Court for Allegedly Recruiting Youths to Al Shabaab,” The Star via AllAfrica.com, April 11, 2015 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

A Muslim cleric was on Friday arraigned in a Marsabit court on charges of recruiting youths into joining a terror group.

Ibrahim Mohammed Ibrahim denied facilitating the recruitment of 8 youths to al Shabaab on diverse dates between July and September 2014 at the Loglogo Mosque, in Laisamis Sub-County.

The preacher appeared before principal magistrate Boaz Ombewa who ordered that he be released on a bond of Sh5 million with surety of a similar amount.

The prosecution said the accused knowingly aided in the enlisting of the youths aged between 14 and 18 years into joining the said terror group.

The accused was unable to raise the bond immediately and was remanded at the Marsabit GK prison. The hearing was set for April 24, this year.

The preacher reportedly from Voi had been preaching at Loglogo mosque in Laisamis sub-county. He presented himself to the police on April 7, when word reached him that the police were looking for him.
