Someone may soon have to teach people on welfare in Missouri how to fish because they may not be able to get a fish to eat for a day, if all they have in a wallet is food stamps.

Their peers in Kansas may also have new restrictions on what they can buy with food stamps, along with a prohibition on spending their federal assistance money on fun things like psychics, tattoos, or cruise ships — if one should ever dock in Kansas.

Maine Gov. Paul LePage (R) has followed suit with his peers in Kansas and Missouri. Page has re-introduced a proposal — which Democrats were able to water down a year ago to the constituency of the gruel served to Oliver Twist in the last legislative session — to slap new restrictions on welfare recipients.

This is one of my three pillars for cutting liberals off at the knees that can be done at the state level. Across the board, there is nothing working people hate more than welfare leeches. It's a winning issue everywhere, and makes them flee to welfare friendly states, bottling them up there while making it easier to elect conservatives from where they left.

Here's MY solution.

Make it mandatory that ALL garbage and waste must be sorted and all plastic, cardboard/paper, and aluminum/metal separated.

....by welfare recipients.  Provide the coveralls and the gloves and goggles.

We'll see a drastic reduction in welfare payouts, and at the same time, we'll be serving Mother Earth.    :laugh:

Having watched the drones load shopping baskets with Lobster, steak, etc, piled high enough to feed Attila's Huns, while I was dining on Ramen noodles [law school], the answer is a resounding "Yes". Better still, restrict them to the food items allowed in the First Wookie's lunch plan.

Pres. Clinton and Speaker Gingrich reached agreement, and enacted "Work for Welfare," which ended "Welfare as We Knew it."

Obama reversed this when he had both chambers with dem majorities. But it can be enacted again.
