Liberal “Lawyer” Says Laws Aren’t Backed By Force. Nitwits Everywhere Hail Their New Leader

Sally Kohn is a lawyer.

It is important to know this because it will become very relevant in a few minutes.

Sally Kohn is also a liberal commentator and columnist. She’s one of those talking heads that goes from cable news show to cable news show and says liberal things and other liberals nod their liberal heads in total agreement.

Sometimes Sally Kohn says outrageous things and gets a little media coverage and then we all forget about her for a while. Most recently, she announced she was gay and was sad that her daughter probably wasn’t. Before that, she compared Ferguson protesters to critics of public schools.

So she says something outlandishly liberal and wacky and everyone gets in a huff or a snit or something and then we all go back to our busy day ignoring Sally Kohn.

But this time, Sally Kohn said something so astoundingly stupid and amazingly vapid that you wonder what color spray paint she’s huffing. And you wonder how the hell she managed to become a lawyer.

It starts out at ordinary, run-of-the-mill levels of liberal dumbness. Sally Kohn announces that the government isn’t forcing any business to do anything.

This is dumb, of course. Her argument is that if you don’t want to obey the laws, you don’t have to open a business. A circuitous logic, but just ordinary dumb.

The National Review’s Charles C. W. Cooke tries to set her straight.

Then Sally tells us that – and remember, she’s a lawyer – that “laws” and “force” do not go together.

Sally Kohn the lawyer doesn’t seem to realize that all laws are backed up by the implied use of force. That’s what a “law” is. That’s why they call it law enFORCEment.
