Megyn Kelly Rips Mainstream Media Over Ferguson Coverage: ‘Enough Is Enough’

By Brian Carey, March 13, 2015.

This is Megyn Kelly being Megyn Kelly.

Last night on her Fox News program, Kelly took a few moments to verbally smack around her co-workers in the media for their portrayal of the Ferguson protests.

Referencing the shooting of two police officers during Ferguson protests, Kelly said: “At this hour, officers across the city of Ferguson, Missouri are searching for the shooters, assumed to be armed and dangerous, knowing at any moment they may find this person or persons and face a deadly confrontation.”

Then, she took it to people in her profession: “You would think the risks they’re facing is the focus of the national conversation today — would be the focus of the national conversation. You would be wrong.”

“Today, the conversation consisted of a quick expression of sympathy for the injured officers followed by a long justification for a protest movement based upon a lie.”

That lie, of course, is the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” narrative that is still believed by many of the Ferguson protesters, even though Eric Holder’s Justice Department reported that there is no credible evidence to support it.

“Enough is enough,” Kelly said. “Institutional racism is a real problem, but fanning the flames, rushing to judgment, and failing to provide context is also deeply problematic and dangerous.”
