Fatah post of monument to Japanese terrorists

Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction has conducted terror attacks against Israel and praised terrorists for a very long time, but in a new twist earlier this month, Fatah paid homage to Japanese terrorists who killed 24 people in Israel in 1972.

"They were neither Arab nor Muslim, yet they sacrificed their lives for Palestine," wrote Fatah on Facebook along with a photo of a monument for the terrorists in Beirut, Lebanon, reports Palestinian Media Watch (PMW).

The three terrorists, Takeshi Okudaira, Yasuyuki Yasuda and Kozo Okamoto, were members of the Japanese Red Army, a Communist terrorist organization.

They were recruited by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), itself a Communist terror group, to attack passengers at Lod Airport on May 30, 1972, killing eight Israelis and 16 foreign tourists in the process, as well as wounding over 70 others.

Okudadira and Yasuda were killed during the attack, and Okamoto was arrested. The memorial in Beirut lists Okudaira and Yasuda as having died as "martyrs" during the attack "in occupied Palestine," reports PMW.

Also included on the memorial as "martyrs" were Takao Himori, a PA supporter who set himself on fire and burned to death in Tokyo in 2002 to protest Israel, and Osamu Maruoka, a Japanese Red Army leader who was arrested in Japan in 1987 and died during his life sentence in prison in 2011.

Fatah has been glorifying terrorists to encourage future attacks for a long time; just this Tuesday the faction praised the attack on the Tel Aviv Savoy Hotel in 1975, in which Arab terrorists murdered eight people.

"From the chronicles of the revolution: The Savoy Hotel after its destruction by Fatah's heroic self-sacrificing fighters - March 6, 1975," wrote Fatah. "The multi-story Savoy Hotel became a ruin, a ruin. A hotel, neighborhood and streets went up in flames, up in flames, thanks to your men's determination, O Yasser (Arafat), Yasser (Arafat)."

The post was accompanied by a picture of the wreckage after the terrorist attack.

In another post the same day, Fatah glorified the planner of the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre in which 11 Israeli athletes were murdered - and which was funded by Abbas.

A picture of the terrorist planner was posted with the words "Ali Hassan Salameh, the Martyr Commander, the Red Prince. The glory in his name is enough."
