Yes, that very word was used multiple times by adoring journalists in 2007 and 2008 to describe then candidate Barack Obama. Since moving into the White House though, the president has proven himself to know so little about so much, it can no longer be hidden away. His handlers make certain to put Obama in friendly environments certain to maintain the illusion of intellectual capacity, but even then his stunning and dangerous lack of knowledge shows itself.
And make no mistake, the world is watching…
Seth Mandel of Commentary had this to say on the subject of Barack Obama’s intellectual void between his ears:
“…what also matters is the emerging pattern for Obama’s view of the world: he has no idea what he’s talking about. The president, as Sam Cooke sang, don’t know much about history. And it’s evident in each major area of conflict the president seeks to solve and ends up only exacerbating.
…They’re not just minor gaffes or verbal blunders. They serve as a window into the mind of a president who acts as if a history of the world before yesterday could fit on a postcard. We talk a lot about the defects of the president’s ideology, but not about his ignorance. The two are related, but the latter is lately the one causing a disproportionate amount of damage.” LINK
Indeed.
Almost as troubling as Barack Obama’s ignorance is that of his staff – namely one Valerie Jarrett. It is Jarrett who outlines the agenda, approves the words to be put into the teleprompter, and instructs the White House sycophants on what can and cannot be communicated to the President of the United States.
The troubling ignorance of Barack Obama is a direct result of not only his own laziness in all things beyond self promotion and golf, but also is the effect of Jarrett’s manipulation. The less he knows, the more he depends on her, and the easier he is to then control. White House staff who have attempted to break this ignorance-inducing back and forth between Jarrett’s second floor White House office and the president’s private second floor study just a short walk away have found themselves promptly removed from the administration.
Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel was the most recent to discover that even the slightest suggestion to the president that counters the view of Valerie Jarrett is met with immediate and lasting response. After a series of administrative memos on the subject, Hagel suggested during a rare in-person meeting with the president, almost sheepishly by some accounts, that it would be unwise to close GITMO at a time when Islamic terrorism is raging throughout the world and the chances of those freed prisoners rejoining that fight are considerable. Hagel’s views on the subject were supported by various military officials who took to whispering in his ear so as to avoid having to take their concerns to the overly politicized Joint Chiefs.
Barack Obama is said to have “pursed his lips” and then looked to Jarrett who promptly indicated the meeting was over. Hagel was escorted out of the Oval Office and three months later was announcing a resignation that is said to have been “strongly suggested” by the White House itself which is simply another way of saying, Valerie Jarrett.
Alternative opinions are quickly killed off within the Obama administration. Susan Rice has excelled at this requirement, and been richly rewarded beyond her capabilities even as the stink of the Benghazi scandal permeated around her. She remained loyal, she always supports the Jarrett agenda, and says very little of substance to the president himself. That is the basic operating system of this White House and it has left the Commander in Chief, as Seth Mandel of Commentary Magazine indicated today, as a man who “has no idea what he’s talking about.”
Today Barack Obama has flown off in Air Force One to the California Coast. There he will give a teleprompted speech, make a brief roundtable appearance with some Left Coast tech business leaders, and then make his way to a high cost DNC fundraiser at the home of a San Francisco billionaire.
That is the kind of schedule that make the simplistic Barack Obama most happy.
And Valerie Jarrett will be with him every perpetually ignorant step of the way…
