SF Chronicle celebrates anti-free speech vandalism of AFDI ads as “love”

January 26, 2015 7:46 pm By Robert Spencer 22 Comments

Once again a mainstream media outlet endorses thuggery and the forced silence of foes of jihad terror. The abandonment of the freedom of speech by those who should be its foremost advocates is one of the biggest and least-noted stories of our age.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency is also apparently no fan of the freedom of speech. Pamela Geller notes: “These make-overs are so well done and numerous that it clearly was an organized operation and likely with an insider’s cooperation to get at the buses for the time it took to deface our ads without detection. This is suspicious in the extreme.”

Please contact the following and — politely and courteously — let them know what you think of this vandalism in the service of Islamic Jew-hatred:

Scott Goldsmith of TITAN (sales agent for the San Francisco Muni): Scott.Goldsmith@titan360.com

Edward D. Reiskin, CEO of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency: ed.reiskin@sfmta.com

The phone number is 415.701.2311.

It is refreshing to note that while the San Francisco Chronicle is cheerleading for thuggery and vandalism, many of its commenters are not on board.

And finally, here are the fascist thugs who did it. They should be arrested and prosecuted.

“Anti-Islam San Francisco Muni ads defaced …. with messages of love,” By Evan Sernoffsky, San Francisco Chronicle, January 26, 2015 (thanks to Pamela Geller):

A clever street art activist in San Francisco transformed anti-Islam banners on the back and sides of Muni buses into action-packed messages of love.

The controversial ads, which equate Islam with Nazism, were plastered over with pictures of Kamala Khan, Marvel’s first Muslim character, as well as new taglines railing against the posters’ hateful message.

“Calling all bigotry busters,” one newly-modified sign reads. Another declares, “Free speech isn’t a license to spread hate.”

Kahn, a shape-shifting New Jersey teenager who comes from a traditional Pakistani family, debuted for Marvel in 2013.

The creative alterations were in response to the latest ad buy from blogger Pamela Geller’s American Freedom Defense Initiative.

Fifty of the banners went up on the side of buses in San Francisco on Jan. 9, featuring an image of Adolf Hitler and Haj Amin al-Husseini, a 20th Century Palestinian Muslim leader who opposed Zionism.

The posters originally read, “Islamic Jew-Hatred: It’s In The Quran.”

But on Sunday, Facebook group Street Cred – Advertising for the People added several photos of the newly altered ads to its page.

The bottom of the posters that once read, “Stop the hate. End all aid to Islamic countries,” now says “Stop the hate to Islamic countries” — thanks to three strategically placed hearts.

The city has been through rounds debate over earlier anti-Islam ads purchased by the far-right organization.

City leaders, including the mayor, district attorney and board of supervisors have condemned the messages as racist and Islamophobic, but concede that they are protected by freedom of speech.
