9-year-old boy stabbed in head and neck while walking to school on Staten Island
The victim, Jermaine Colver, was in Mariners Harbor when he says he was stabbed three times by a man about 7:55 a.m., cops said.

He was just two blocks away from Public School 44, where he is in the fifth grade, according to relatives.
“It looks like he’s trying to kill that kid,” said Luis Padilla, 44, whose surveillance camera caught the stunning attack.
“He went straight for the jugular.”
The footage reveals the psycho trailed Jermaine down the block before pouncing, grabbing him around the neck with his left hand and stabbing him in the upper shoulder and neck.
Jermaine stumbled a few steps before regaining his footing and sprinting away.
He ran to his nearby home and told his 14-year-old brother what happened. The two boys returned to the scene to try to find the brute.
“He just said a grown man started punching him in the back of the head,” said another brother, Malik Williams, 18. “When we checked him, he had a hole in his neck.”
Jermaine described his assailant as a stranger wearing a blue hoodie, cops said. Police have made no arrests.

On Friday, January 9, 2015, at 0742 hours, the victim, a 9-year-old boy, was walking in the vicinity of Union Avenue and Leyden Avenue when the suspect, who had been following him, walked up behind up and stabbed him in the neck, shoulder and head. The suspect then fled the location. The victim was able to run home where 911 was called. The victim was then transported, via EMS, to Richmond County University Medical Center where he was treated for his wounds and released. The suspect is a black male wearing dark clothing..

The puncture wound looked like it could have been caused by a pen, Williams said.
Jermaine also suffered a gash to the top of his head.
“Who would do that?” Williams fumed. “He’s a little boy!”
Jermaine was taken to Richmond University Medical Center in stable condition, officials said. Relatives said he would be kept overnight as a precaution.
Jermaine’s family moved to Staten Island from Manhattan six months ago.
His family was baffled why he would be targeted near their new home.
“We just moved here,” Williams said. “We don’t have problems with nobody.”
