Latest Redistribution Scheme: Obama’s Giving Away Free Community College

by Sara Noble • January 8, 2015

Barack Obama is about to propose universal community college at taxpayer expense for anyone willing to work for it, whatever that means.

“Put simply, what I’d like to do is to see the first two years of community college free for anybody who’s willing to work for it,” he said. “It’s something we can accomplish, and it’s something that will train our workforce so that we can compete with anyone in the world.”

We can expect the details of this latest big government mandate during the State of the Union address January 20th. It will require Congress to take action but if that doesn’t work, Obama has a pen and phone.

It’s also a good ruse to make Republicans look bad if they object which they most assuredly will.

The 18 trillion dollar debt is irrelevant to this man.

The president can be heard on a video which is posted on Facebook. The comments by the leftists on the post are worth reading just because they are ridiculous. They obviously love to steal other peoples’ money and they really think things are free. They must be under the impression that the federal government grows money trees.

The White House thinks 9 million will participate at a total cost of more than $34 billion which the federal government  – which is actually the U.S. taxpayer – will pay three-quarters. States would pay the rest as if they need the added expense.

Cecilia Munoz, the domestic policy adviser, doesn’t expect it to happen overnight.

They are calling it The America’s College Promise program and it would go to traditional and non-traditional college students. It won’t just be for kids.

Will this take control of admissions out of colleges’ hands and put it in the hands of government? The program will end up being for people who don’t belong in college.

“As we rebound and grow, we have to make sure it benefits everybody and not just some,” he said in his video address. In other words, it’s more redistribution because we have had this alleged tremendous growth.

Doesn’t seem like growth to the 92 million plus who are out of the workforce.
